It’s been a while since I’ve posted anything. A lot has changed in the world since my last post. With all the Corona Virus (Covid-19) stuff going on, I’ve been working from home. Since I don’t have to drive to work each day, I have a little more time to work on projects. One project I’ve posted about before, and that is PolarisFire.com this is a site dedicated to my dad, where I am posting his sermons. Since I started I’ve gotten a little better at Python and Bash, so I’ve been able to manipulate his Word documents and converted into a WordPress friendly format. I have not automated the upload process yet, but I’ll probably work on that soon. So far I have sermons up to May 2008 posted.

Another project that I’ve started with my friend Sarn is a site named WhatsMyWeightInGold.com This site started as a “shower” thought, lol. What I mean by that is one day I was taking a shower, and was wondering how much I would be worth in gold. To my surprise there was no site like it. So, one day having a conversation with my friend I mentioned it, and he thought it was a decent idea, so we bought the domain and began coding. This project had a few things we were trying out. It would be an experience for us to work together on a project. It would teach me C# MVC, Git, Docker, as well as learning a few CI tools.

I’m also taking two classes at Waubonsee, so that takes up some time. I’m a few classes away from a Computer Science degree!! The classes are not terribly exciting, Math and Astronomy… lol but the are interesting. So there has been a lot going on that has kept me busy, even in isolation.
